August 18-19, Japan: Kurita Ecohydraulics pre-symposium workshop
Interdisciplinarity in Ecohydraulics: an early career perspective
The Kurita Ecohydraulics Workshop, supported by the Kurita Water and Environment Foundation is organized by EcoENet and ISE2018’s LOC and will focus on guided discussions around interdisciplinarity in Ecohydraulics.
We propose a 2 half-days pre-conference workshop in which Profs Michael Stewardson and Greg Pasternack among others (TBC) will provide the basis for a group discussion on integrating ecological, physical and social values in river science. We will hear the keynotes experiences and use small group discussions to engage early career researchers in identifying and discussing current challenges and future opportunities.
The pre-conference workshop schedule is as follows. Please note: All participants will be encourage to join a social after the first half session and then join the ‘Un’-official ISE2018 icebreaker on Saturday evening*. The second half session of the workshop will conclude prior to the Official ISE2018 opening at the same venue.
