Who we are

The Early Careers on Ecohydraulics Network (ECoENet) was created in June 2014 following discussions among early career scientists that highlighted the necessity to build a professional network at the start of a research career and the realisation that such a network did not exist in ecohydraulics. This was despite the urgent need for training and development of world-leading researchers in order to meet the demands placed on the field by legislative drivers and the rapid growth of industries seeking to exploit river systems.

Besides providing an online support network and a web platform for productive discussion, sharing of ideas and dissemination of research outputs, the aim of ECoENet is to give ECRs an opportunity to meet on a biennial basis to network and present their research. For more information see our vision.

We are organized through committee and rely on contributing members for support and knowledge exchange.
